
Leah and Jim Whitmore purchased the homestead in 1941. 120 acres for $5,200.00, including a barn, grain silo and a run down farm house.
The couple and their three children (Vivian, Patrick and James) moved to the farm in 1944 and began building the new house.
The pond was dug between 1965-1970. The first dock was built in 1970.
