1. Drive SLOWLY !! to keep the dust down and drive on the left branch of the road by the barn, not past the houses.
2. Park on the lawn by the new gravel road. Large event parking is in the hay field north of the kitchen. There is a load/unload area behind the kitchen. Keep roads clear at all times, in case an emergency vehicle needs access.
3. Be respectful of the residents. No loud music or noise after 10:00pm. Stay close to camp after dark. Wind down the party by midnight.
4. Be careful on the water. Children must wear life vest. No diving off the dock. Look out for badly aimed fishing casts.
5. Don’t overload the septic system. During the busy season, don’t flush toilet paper. If you make a mess, there are cleaning supplies under the sinks.
6. Tidy up before you leave. Put garbage in the bins and secure the lids. Take home any food and drinks you brought. Hang wet towels, put away water toys and tie up the boats.
7. Be carefully of fire. No campfires or fireworks during fire season!! Don’t toss cigarettes or dump briquettes. Never park a vehicle on tall grass.
8. Remember this is a working farm. Look out for loose livestock and chickens crossing the road. Be careful around tractors or other equipment. And don’t bother the bees.
9. Be mindful of wild animals. There are predators including coyotes, bobcat and cougars in the area. There are also skunks, raccoons, deer and other creatures that are best admired from afar. And of course, there are bees and wasps.
10. Be safe. There are many dangers on the farm: bee strings, rusty nails and perhaps most dangerous of all, the pond itself. You are responsible for your own actions. As our guest, you visit the farm at your own risk and discretion.
